DIY Classroom Display in a Planter

Last summer I created this planter to go along with my “Patton’s Patch” garden theme in my classroom.

It was
rather simple to make. I bought a planter, styrofoam, cute wooden
cut outs from Hobby Lobby, clothespins, moss from the dollar store,
and dowel rods.

I glued the wooden cut outs to the dowels and added clothespins where I wanted them and inserted them into the foam.

… and voila! A cute display for any classroom!

Although
I did use this to display something I’ll show you on Friday, I had originally thought it
could be used to display student of the week pictures, vocabulary or
spelling words, or examples of great work.

Any other ideas? I’d love to hear them!
